I don't find the little extra weight to be any sort of big deal at all. We also have the jogger and bike attachments, which are great to have too, especially the bike kit.
I completely agree that it's far superior to skate than to classic, but you can alter the classic stride enough (extend the glide phase) to counter that "bounce" you talk about. It's a good technique drill as it forces you to stay on the glide leg longer. It's still different than skiing by yourself though, like you said. The biking is great with it; no complaints. I also have had a few hiccups with the jogger, but not nearly as bad as yours, I think due to the fact that we have the more sturdy Cougar model. I was able to adjust the front "dropouts" enough to straighten the tracking to almost perfect, but still not quite. We also got the "Stroll Smart": http://www.stroll-smart.com/index.html It allows us to jog without our hands, which has been a huge improvement!
I liked your review and agree. Thanks!

We got the Cougar 2 model (there’s a 1 for “single” also) and it was quite a bit less expensive and more sturdy…less plastic to contend with. They're made in Canada, can't remember the website or anything at the moment.

The “Baby Glider” pulk is the best pulk I’ve ever seen for groomed skiing but it is a dedicated, single use pulk.
