APU Coach Holly Brooks also collapsed while in first place about 1/2 mile from the end. She was kicking and screaming to finish the race to hold her start spot while on her second liter of IV fluid.
Other skiers of note that are listed in this year&#039;s Mount Marathon results are:
2) Eric Strabel - APU Coach
4) Trond Flagstad - UAA Coach
11) Mark Brady
14) Tor Christopherson
15) Patrick Stinson
Former USST members, Bill Spencer and Todd Boostra also won the race, and former UAA standout Toby Schwoerer has been a winner. I still have massive deep blood blisters that haven&#039;t begun to heel and still can&#039;t run at all. Funy thing is, they started 100-200 feet from the top, so there was no hope from the beginning.
