John Aalberg (49) has been named the new Director of Sports of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011. Aalberg is currently both director of sports for the Nordic disciplines (Cross-Country, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined and Biathlon) and Whistler Olympic Park venue’s general manager for the Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010 as well as a consultant for the Olympics in Sochi in 2014. Another day, another great result for the US Biathlon Team. The World Championships in Summer Biathlon ended Sunday in Oberhof with the Pursuit competitions. Again, the US Team turned in a strong team performance. The US men started the pursuit competition in strong position.
