Nat Herz is FasterSkier’s assistant editor. A recent graduate of Bowdoin College, he learned to ski at The Putney School, from which America’s only Olympic medalist, Bill Koch, graduated in the 1970s. While he’s not as fast as Bill Koch, Nat absorbed a lot of wisdom while he was skiing at Bowdoin under Marty Hall and Nathan Alsobrook, which will theoretically serve him in both his athletic and non-athletic endeavors later in life.
Outside of the world of cross country skiing, Nat enjoys cooking, bike racing, and a good game of wiffleball. He aspires to some day hold a job that provides him with health insurance. His claim to fame is being described on Johnny Klister as “the most entertaining not fast skier ever to type.”
