Way to fight guys! A truly inspiring victory.

The euro commentator on the eurosport feed I watched made a comparison between Demong and Northug when Demong made his move.

Way to fight guys! (I think it's hard to comment on here Morgan- the article needs a snappier title to draw more attention to it than the others on the main page, but my comment makes 6 or 7? We need more!)

All team members did excelent job and the last race on Thursday was a top. Billy , Johnny and Todd made us, americans, proud. Being around the team at the World Cup and World Championship races in Liberec 2008 and 2009 I believed that Vancover will prove their quality.
Good luck and succes for upcoming years. You can do it. Remember, great XC Swedish skier Sixten Jernberg was at 3 Olympics and at the age of 35 won some of his 9 olympic medals.

It was exciting to watch our Nordic Combined team through the Olympics. The US NoCo team must be doing something really right, to have 3 athletes so closely matched, in a smaller sport than either XC or Biathlon. Heck, the only sport together with special jump that has no ladies event at the Olympics.
The skating on the US team seems to be so good, I am thinking perhaps only one fellow countryman special XC skier (Kris Freeman) and 2 or 3 biathletes really stand a chance against either of the dynamic trio. they might be considered for XC Relay duty? Even the Nordic countries pull that trick at times, towards jumping or XC special.
All due respect to the US Biathlon and XC teams, but they could get some training tips from the NoCO guys (who can use some extra hands in tech support for XC skis, it seems).

Congrats to all podium finishers, I’m becoming a NoCo fan, now that the skiing seems to be of such a high level.

The US NoCo team must be doing something really right, to have 3 athletes so closely matched, in a smaller sport than either XC or Biathlon.
