A crash in the quarterfinals of the sprint in Quebec City in 2012 ripped Wurm’s binding off his ski. He finished the lap regardless, earning him claps from the crown.
Austrian skier Harald Wurm was a crowd favorite at the December, 2012, World Cups in Canada, where he finished a sprint heat despite breaking a binding off his ski.
Wurm’s half-ski, half-run to the finish delighted spectators as he went by.
