Fast and Female Names Casey Peirce as New Executive Director

Canmore, Alberta, CAN – The Board of Directors of Fast and Female is pleased to announce that Casey Peirce will join the organization in the role of Executive Director. Peirce brings a wealth of amateur sport knowledge, passion and experience to Fast and Female, the innovative organization founded in 2005 by Olympic Champion Chandra Crawford dedicated to empowerment through sport of young women ages nine to nineteen.

Peirce possesses over a decade of sport administration proficiency through her tenure with the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary. Her deep understanding and network within the Canadian sport system will prove to be a strong asset in the future of Fast and Female. Peirce is also a former athlete as well as a certified springboard and platform diving coach with Dive Calgary and Rocky Mountain Diving in Calgary. Her long time involvement with sport at the civic, provincial national and Olympic levels makes her an ideal candidate to lead the growing operations of Fast and Female.

“I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of empowering youth to stay involved in sport and I’m excited to lead this dedicated team in expanding the Fast and Female experience to include and inspire young women in their athletic development and pursuit of healthy and active lifestyles,” says Peirce.

Chandra Crawford, President and Founder of Fast and Female is thrilled to have Peirce join the team; “The search was extensive to get the right person to fill as dynamic a role as Executive Director of Fast and Female. Casey brings knowledge of the Canadian sport system, experience with Olympic athletes and the strategic ability to lead our team. From our first meetings it has been so clear to me that she has so much leadership ability and passion for sport.”

In addition to welcoming Peirce as Executive Director, Fast and Female has also enhanced the event management and administrative team, recruiting two new members to join the current team consisting of President of Fast and Female USA Kikkan Randall and Event Coordinators Marie-Eve Bilodeau-Corriveau in Quebec and Abby Weissman in the USA.

New team member Alana Thomas is a competitive cross-country skier and a graduate of one of the first ever Fast and Female events ever held. Her depth of experience along with her degree in economics will be an asset in the role of Retail and Event Coordinator. Tara Kabatoff joins Fast and Female as Marketing and Communications Coordinator, bringing her impressive graphic design portfolio and desire to make a difference in her work and community.
