World Cup Champion Kikkan Randall and Olympic Gold medalist Billy Demong headline US Nordic Athletes

HAVERHILL, Mass. — Led by 2012 World Cup Sprint Champion Kikkan Randall (Anchorage, AK) and 2010 Olympic Gold medalist Billy Demong (Lake Placid, NY), Swix Sport USA is pleased to introduce US Ski Team and US Biathlon Team athletes who have chosen to represent and use Swix poles, wax and tools leading up to the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia.

Joining Randall on the Cross Country side are A Team athletes Andrew Newell (Shaftsbury, VT), Kris Freeman (Andover, NH) and Simi Hamilton (Aspen, CO).  In all, ten out of the thirteen US Cross Country Ski Team athletes choose to race with Swix poles.

“When I am sprinting down the track in pursuit of an Olympic medal, it is essential to have 100% confidence in my equipment.  That is why I choose Swix for their world class quality, performance and dependability,” states Kikkan on her choice to use Swix.

U.S. Nordic Combined A Team Athlete Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) is a teammate of Demong and looks to make his first Olympic team.  US Biathlon A Team member Jay Hakkinen (Kasilof, AK) is a 4-time Olympian in Biathlon and looking towards his fifth Olympic team birth in Sochi.
