The Far West Elite Team, a post-collegiate senior team based in Truckee, Calif., is looking to support six athletes for the 2015-16 season. Our goal is to develop post-collegiate skiers towards being named to the U.S. Ski Team. The primary focus of the team is the USSA Supertour race series. The large collegiate summer training program, run by Martin Benes, in Truckee makes for excellent summer training. Team members receive funding to offset race, travel, and living expenses as well as additional support within the Tahoe region.
The team is currently working to iron out specific funding details and an exact dollar amount to be offered to each 2015-2016 athlete. Applications will officially open later this spring. In the meantime, any interested parties are encouraged to contact us to learn more about how the team works and functions throughout the year.
