SALT LAKE CITY, Utah –  Now in its third year, the National Nordic Foundation’s Drive for 25 (D25) is an annual happening for Nordic ski racers everywhere, a nation wide ski community event focused on ski sport development.

“It’s a grassroots effort,” explained NNF Director, Dave Knoop, “It’s the entire skiing community coming together to promote the sport, to drive it towards its potential in this country.”

Started in 2011 by USST coaches, the D25 has grown from a single day event to a two-month fundraising effort. The 2012 D25 successfully raised $220,000 to be used in Nordic Combined and Cross Country development opportunities. This year’s fundraising goal is set at $275,000.

As in year’s past, supporters can choose to donate or to become ambassadors and collect donations on behalf of the National Nordic Foundation with a focus towards Cross Country or Nordic Combined directed funds. The D25 effort is accessible through the National Nordic Foundation website and will remain live through November 16th. For more information, log onto www.nationalnordicfoundation.org.
