Widmer Tallies Top 30 in U23 Distance Race; Canadian Men Struggle with Numbers

Heidi Widmer bounced back from what she considered a sub-par sprint to place 28th in Thursday’s 10 k freestyle at U23 World Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic. AWCA teammate Annika Hicks was 37th, and just two Canadian men raced with two others out sick.

Caldwell, Bjornsen Lead U.S. with Top 10s in U23s Sprint

Sophie Caldwell and Erik Bjornsen posted personal bests in the classic sprint at U23 World Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic. The Americans each made it as far as the semifinals; Caldwell finished ninth and Bjornsen was 10th.
