In Part II of “The Road to Jackson” series, we hear from University of New Hampshire (UNH) nordic skiers Lizzie Gill, Silje Wilson, Katrin Larusson, and Peter Holmes, all of whom qualified for 2017 NCAA Skiing Championships. UNH is hosting the championships March 8-11 in Jackson and Franconia, N.H. “To represent UNH, we’re hosting, so let’s hope we can keep it up and have some fun, and also represent the EISA.”
Colin Rodgers has left Sun Valley to take charge at Green Mountain Valley School in his native Vermont, while his good friend Chris Mallory, also from Vermont, parted ways with UVM and is moving West to head up the SVSEF Gold Team.
Just six months after graduating from UNH, Annika Taylor, a 22-year-old California native, found herself starting her first World Cup race in late November as the sole female representative of Great Britain's cross-country ski team. "I’m actually addicted to the lifestyle because every weekend is a new experience," Taylor says.

DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire ski program coordinator/Nordic head coach Cory Schwartz (’82) recently announced the establishment of the UNH Nordic Ski Team Scholarship Fund by Peter Chudy, II (’87) and paid tribute to Nelson Bennett (’40) for his contributions to the ski program and to his country during World War II.
