New Mexico wins Utah Invitational, while Sarah Hansen become first American woman to win a RMISA race since 2001.

Saturday – Classic
In the men's 10K Classic race, Utah's Henning Dybendal had a dominating performance, winning by 46 seconds over Erland Hoff of Denver. Alaska-Anchorage's Zach Violett was third, the top American.



Women's podium – Sat. 10K Free technique

UAA's Sarah Hansen reached the podium for the second straight day at the Utah Invitational, however unlike yesterday she found herself at the very top today. Hansen, who placed third in the women's 5K classic Friday, edged Colorado’s Jana Rehemaa by 1.6 seconds in the women’s 10K freestyle race to claim her first career victory. Her win was the first for an American woman in a RMISA race since 2001. Hansen’s victory was the third for a UAA woman in four nordic races this season. The other two victory's were by teammate Mandy Kaempf whi missed this meet with an illness.
