today. I knew that Angerer would accelerate exactly where he did, but I had no chance to follow him, says Hofstad.

Could have captured second place
He believes however that he should have captured second place.

– He (the French skier) was on his way toward the second lane, but then moved back to the side. I had to then ski toward the middle, says Hofstad.

He was despite this not irritated on the Frenchman.

— I would have done exactly the same myself, says Hofstad.

Good training
He is choosing to view the race as good training. Narrow courses and up to ten skiers together in the pack, is unusual circumstances.

– It’s this type of experience that’s important to have. It requires a lot with so many teams together on the last leg and we still made the podium, says Hofstad.

He was medium happy with his performance, even if he doesn’t imagine that it will be as many skiers in the lead group at the end of the 4 x 10 at the Olympics.

— That course is a lot tougher, says Hofstad.

He still treasures this experience.

— I’m happy that I got to race even if I’m not in my best shape. It’s only one more relay ahead of the Olympics. I normally like to ski quite a bit and this time I didn’t get on snow before on Wednesday this week, said Hofstad
