Willie’s 5k Run for the Environment was held on a perfect clear crisp Saturday morning, Oct 17th. Organized in honor of Willie Neal, of Jackson Hole, WY, who lived in Sun Valley in 2008-09, training and racing as a Post Grad with SVSEF. After a two-year hiatus, the Cross-Country Alaska Junior Championships will be returning to the state-wide racing calendar March 26 and 27 and will be the first part of a weekend with family-wide ski racing appeal. Each year, Bend Nordic Team skiers travel to Newport, OR for a fall training camp coached by Ben Husaby and Brenna Knowles. The trip itinerary is simple.
