Madshus is proud to announce Finnish World Cup skier Lauri Lepistö to Team Madshus for the upcoming season.

The 23-year-old Finn first entered the World Cup in 2016 at the World Cup opener in Ruka (FIN). Lepistö earned his first World Cup points in Otepää (EST) in January 2019 and had his first full World Cup season last year, where he posted two top-30 results, both in the classic sprint event.

“We are excited to welcome Lauri Lepistö to Team Madshus. He represents a brand-new generation of Finnish skiers, and he shows a lot of potential for the future,” says Sylvain Fanjas-Claret, who is one of the Madshus World Cup managers, noting that Lepistö is a nice fit for the Madshus men’s World Cup team.

“Lauri is quite versatile, but he excels particularly in the classic sprint. So, with Lauri, Madshus now has a very strong lineup for all the World Cup events: Lauri in the classic sprint, Renaud Jay (FRA) in the skate sprint, Alexander Bessmertnykh (RUS) in the classic distance races and Lucas Bögl (GER) in the skate distance races,” Fanjas-Claret says.
