"Patience was really the name of the game and I kept it all day,” said Saturday's SuperTour classic sprint winner, Dakota Blackhorse-von Jess. He beat out Reese Hanneman and Tyler Kornfield, both of APU, for his first win of the season.
The Yellowstone Ski Festival officially kicked off on Tuesday, with numerous athletes and clubs out skiing the trails. Longtime keeper-of-the-gates at the Rendezvous trailhead, Thor Godar, sets the scene so far.

Dakota Blackhorse-von Jess knows as well as anybody that falls is the time to up the intensity. "For the first time since the training year started in May, I get to play in the area of threshold - and threshold plus," he explains. "Wednesdays we hit the trails: pole bounding in mixed terrain."
