Exciting racing and close competition in the mountain village of Stowe, Vermont were on display at the UVM Carnival this past weekend. Annika Taylor of UNH and Paddy Caldwell of Dartmouth took top honors in both freestyle and classic events.
EISA Regional Championships took place on Friday and Saturday as part of the Middlebury Carnival. Hometown hero Ben Lustgarten and stalwart Dartmouth racer Annie Hart picked up wins on Friday. Paddy Caldwell, Scott Patterson and the UVM women put on a show during Saturday's mass start events.
While the world's collective attention is focused on the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, EISA racers set their sights on the 2014 Williams Carnival held at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, VT. UVM and Dartmouth continued to show strength, while the Bowdoin women made a strong statement on both days.
Challenging courses, a return to cold winter weather and exciting competition were all present at the UNH Carnival this weekend, the second stop on the EISA collegiate racing circuit. Notable top-level guests made for increased competition in each race.
