Saku Suverull Pursuit Attracts World's Best

FasterSkier · August 14, 2003

Many of the world's best skiers will gather this weekend in Estonia for the
Saku Suverull running/rollerskiing pursuit race. This will be the first major
international test of the 2003-2004 season for most of these skiers.

This will be Julija Tchepalova's first international race since taking a year
off to have her first child.

From the race website:

The competition will take place on the special roller-skiing track at Tehvandi
Olympic Centre in Otepää on the 15th and 16th of August 2003. The
competition is organized by the Estonian Ski Association and Tartu Ski Club.
Only invited top-skiers from Estonia and from abroad will participate in the
event. The competition will be held in three sections: the prologue, running
and roller skiing. The winner will be calculated by the total time in two events
and the prologue. The prologue is Friday evening, the running race is Saturday
and the rollerski pursuit is Sunday.
