Alsgaard Entered to Race World Cup

“I used to watch Alsgaard on television during the big championships — I think he is one of the best skiers of all-time and Marcialonga is proud to have him in the 2004 event.”

Alsgaard confirmed that he and another recent retiree, Espen Bjervik entered the race in conjunction with bringing some customers to the race:

“We’ll race if we feel for it, but we won’t do it if it doesn’t feel right.”

“I don’t have to work out or compete. The nice thing about the upcoming winter is that I don’t have any racing plans. I’ll enter some races if I feel for it or I’ll simply ski some easy distance — that’s my new life.”

How much training are you putting in?

“Not much this summer, but I hope to do a bit more this fall” — explains Alsgaard.
