The World Cup sprint opener was last weekend in Düsseldorf Germany. Many of the best distance specialists did not race. They were training somewhere instead and most of them were skiing.  National Teams around the World are now preparing for the regular World Cup opener at Beitostolen Norway on November 22.Â
Men’s November World Cup schedule:
22. 15 km freestyle —Beitostolen, Norway
23. 4 x 10 km relay —Beitostolen, Norway
28. 15 km classic —Kuusamo, Finland
30. 10 + 10 km skiathlon/pursuit

Women’s November World Cup Schedule:
22. 15 km freestyle – Beitostolen
23. 4 x 5 km relay – Beitostolen
28. 10 km classic – Kuusamo
30. 5 + 5 km skiathlon/pursuit — KuusamoÂ
 a little bit before the domestic races (November 14,15 and 16) at Beitostolen, one week ahead of the World Cup. After those races we’ll rest up even more and get ready for the World Cup races. Things are looking good at the momentâ€Â </p>
<p>How important is it to ski fast at Beitostolen?</p>
<p>Those races are very important. World Cup points collected now are of equal value as those captured later this season. Some skiers are always in good shape early while other needs a few more races before they can ski fast and to their potential. It will always be that way. We hope that some on our team will ski fast at Beitostolen. The goal is to make sure that everyone on the team will ski to their potential -their best this year. Some will do that early and other will do it in Davos in December</p>
