OSLO, Norway (Feb. 28) – Back on the trails after their top 10 sprint results, Beckie and Sara finished 20th and 24th in the 30k race at the Holmenkollen, Oslo Norway W Cup. Milaine Theriault finished 48th.
Julia Tchepalova of Russia won the women's 30K freestyle race Saturday at Holmenkollen by a minute over Italy's Sabina Valbusa with Rebecca Dussault (Gunnison, CO) 34th.
In the men's 50K FR, World Cup leader Rene Sommerfeldt of Germany defeated Fulvio Valbusa by 56 seconds. Top U.S. result came from Andrew Johnson (Greensboro, VT), who was 41st in the field of 78. Chris Jeffries was top Canadian in 43rd. Chris was ahead of US classic star Kris Freeman who finished 46th, Devon Kershaw was 52nd and Drew Goldsack 56th.
