Alsgaard In Hanover, NH Today

Thomas Alsgaard, the most medaled Cross Country skiing athlete in the history of the sport.  Alsgaard, a native of Enebakk Norway, won ten Olympic and World Championship gold medals, and was a overall World Cup winner with numerous World Cup victories to his credit. Universally known for his stellar technique, he is now one of the sport's greatest ambassadors, traveling throughout the world to promote Nordic skiing, as well as a technical advisor to some of the world's premier equipment manufacturers including Alpina ski boots, Madshus skis and Rottefella bindings. Friday afternoon Alsgaard will train with the Dartmouth Ski Team, and later will meet with the Ford Sayre junior cross-country ski team from 3:30 to 4:30pm at Oak Hill. Alsgaard will speak about his past experiences along with the latest developments on technique, conditioning and equipment preparation during an evening social at the Richard W. Black Recreation Center, in Hanover, NH, at 6:30pm .
