Skofterud Stepped It Up Big Time

Vibeke Skofterud, a member of the Norwegian women’s national team claimed after being second to last in the sprint races in Düsseldorf that she was in better shape than ever.  “I’m Feeling Good And Has Never Been Better” was the headline on a Fasterskier article on November 3: http://www.fasterskier.com/training.php?id=1500  

Skofterud proved that this claim was valid by placing second to Marit Bjorgen twice during the Norwegian opening week at Beitostolen last weekend.
 

-  I’m not there yet. I can get a lot better and I’m really looking forward to the upcoming weekends, said Vibeke.  

 She did not try to peak for Beitostolen, but is aiming for the upcoming World Cup races. She has not let up on her training yet.

– I haven’t let up or reduced the training volume yet. The races at Beitostolen were training. I’m letting up some to feel good next weekend for the World Cup, said Skofterud.
