In today's interval-start 5k Classic at Mt. Itasca, Minnesota, Team Rossignol's Karin Camenisch won with a mere 0.33 seconds to spare ahead of U.S. National Sprint Champion Lindsay Williams. Williams' teammate from Northern Michigan University, Lindsey Weier, took third, roughly 13 seconds back. Tasha Betcherman of Lappe Nordic and NMU's Morgan Smyth were fourth and fifth respectively.
