Fredriksson, Sodergren And Sprinters Are Sweden’s Big Hopes

Mathias Fredriksson, Anders Sodergren and the men’s sprint team are Sweden’s big hopes in this weekend’s World Cup races in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic

Mathias Fredriksson skied well in last weekend’s World Cup races in Otepaa, Estonia. He returned after having struggled with a recent cold and placed sixth.

Anna Dahlberg and Emelie Ohrstig the two best Swedish skiers have chosen to not race the women’s races in Nove Mesto. They are instead doing an altitude camp in Pregelato, says head coach “Peken”.

The best Swedish male sprinters will however be on the starting line for Sunday’s World Cup freestyle sprint.

Tobias Fredriksson has left his altitude camp in Pontresina to race in Nove Mesto and gear up for Worlds says “Peken” Ronnestrand.

The Swedish Team for Nove Mesto:
15-kilometer freestyle men: Mathias Fredriksson, Anders Södergren, Jörgen Brink, Johan Olsson, Anders Högberg, Mats Larsson, 
10-kilometer freestyle women: Elin Ek, Maria Rydqvist, Kina Swidén, 
Freestyle sprint men: Thobias Fredriksson, Anders Högberg, Micke Östberg, Björn Lind, Jörgen Brink, Fredrik Byström,
Freestyle sprint women: Kina Swidén, Maria Rydqvist.
