Karl Gunnar Skjonsfjell of Norway won Sunday’s Jizerska Padesatka FIS Marathon Cup race in the Czech Republic.
Skjonsfjell beat everyone in the finish sprint and achieved his first-ever FIS Marathon World Cup victory in today’s race in Liberec.

This was the first marathon of the season for Skjonsfell, who collected the first-place prize of 6000 Euros.
Skjonsfjell won after out-sprinting Raul Olle (2nd) from Estonia, Stanislav Rezak of the Czech Republic (3rd), Oscar Svard of Sweden (4th) and Marco Cattaneo from Italy (5th).
Norwegians Jorgen Aukland and Havard Skorstad finished sixth and seventh respectively.
