Time Is Running Out For Anders Aukland

He has had the 50km classic at the World Championships as his season’s largest goal but if he’ll be healthy enough to even start is hard to say.

-If the virus passes and I become healthy I’m sure I can ski a good 50km at the World Championships. To get there I think I will have to ski at the Norwegian Championships. But I’ll just have to see how things work out and become healthy first. Then we’ll see if I make the World Champs, says Aukland.

He has of late spent a good deal of time in Beitestolen, Norway training as much as possible, but most of the sessions have been relaxed.

-It is starting to get close to the World Championships. I really want to compete in the 50km if I’m healthy, but first I need to become that. I need to be completely healthy for there even to be any reason for me to start, says the Norwegian.
