Stanislav Rezac of the Czech Republic and Christina Paluselli from Italy continued their dominance of the FIS marathon cup by winning Sunday Konig Ludwig Lauf 50-kilometer classic marathon in Germany.
 and so did Italy (3, 4, 5). </p>
<p>The Norwegian long distance national team (Team Intersport) was disappointed in their performance. Jorgen Aukland was 9th, 1 minute and 38 seconds out while Anders Hallingstad was 10th. They are now returning to Norway to gear up for among others the Swedish Vasaloppet.</p>
<p>Christina Paluselli of Italy won her third FIS marathon cup race in a row in dominating style, beating second place finisher Sofia Lind of Sweden by five minutes and 19 seconds and third place Nafranovich Irinia by more than 12 minutes. </p>
