The host site of the 2003 and the 2004 National Championships–Black Mountain in Rumford, Maine–has a brand new base lodge.

The three-story, post-and-beam structure functions primarily as the base lodge for the alpine ski operation at Black Mountain. However on cross-country race days it offers a much nicer, roomier place to warm up compared to the “old” main lodge, which is still being used as well.
