– I trained hard for two weeks ahead of this race and improved a lot, but it requires an incredible effort to become better than this, and there are other things that are more important for me at this point, said Thomas who wiped the dust of his skis after putting his Rally Cross car away.

– I can’t do more Rally Cross for a while. I looked at my bank account and saw that it was close to empty, and decided to pull out my skis instead, says the former ski hero and laughs.

When asked if he will race the Norwegian championship next season Alsgaard answered:

– Sure I’ll race, but it has to be on a snowmobile.
