A new analyzes of Vittoz’s doping test after the World Cup race in Nove Mesto, still shows positive A-test and negative B-test.

Professor Dr.Wilhelm Schanzer, who is the chief of the doping lab in Cologne, has informed FIS and WADA the result of the tests confirm that the test came from the same athlete and the same urine sample.

No microorganisms were found regarding possible degrading, but the visual tests still shows differences between the A and the B test.

The positive A test is not proving if Furosemide came from the athlete’s body or not, since the source of what was found is unclear.

Several different scenarios surrounding the possibility that furosemide was added to the A-test have been tested without any result.

It has also been investigated if the tests were manipulated when they were conducted in Nove Mesto. The report from the chief of the doping control in Nove Mesto has claimed that the routines used were according to international standard and nothing extraordinary was observed.
