Is over the second stage of the rollerski World Cup 2005 hold in Villard de Lans / France in the weekend. Two races in program: Saturday the sprint and today the mass-start.
SPRINT
In the sprint races success of the « zar » Igor Glushkov / RUS on David Bogatec / ITA and Simone Paredi / ITA. In the women competition victory for Mateja Bogatc / ITA on Marina Firsova / RUS and Elena Vedeeneva / RUS. In the junior categories first place for Muhammed Kizilarslan / TUR and Esra Gunes / TUR.
MASS START
In the mass start men race on distance of 20 kilometer has been the great moment of Alfio Di Gregorio / ITA winner with the final timing of (36’31â€) with more than one minute on direct competitor for the season Igor Glushkov (37’34â€) who beats on sprint Simone Paredi / ITA.
The female race (14 km) have seen the first place of Elena Vedeeneva / RUS with 28’53†at the finish line, and second has been Elena Rodina / RUS, just 3 seconds behind. Third step of the podium for Viviana Druidi / ITA (29’13â€).
In the junior race one more success for Muhammed Kizilarslan / TUR and Ana Kosuta / ITA.
COPPA DEL MONDO
The top of the World Cup standing for the senior men is for Igor Glushkov (380 points) on Alfio Di Gregorio (232) and David Bogatec (178). Also in the women ranking we can find a russian athlete, Elena Vedeneeva (320) on Mateja Bogatec (286) and Elena Rodina (260).
Next appointment for the FIS Rollerski World Cup 2005 is in the Croatia between 19th and 21st August in Oroslavje, with sprint and pursuit races.
