World Cup 25th Place Not Good Enough To Race In Kuusamo

FasterSkier · November 22, 2005

Norwegian skier Kristian Horntvedt had his best seasonopener ever and placed 25th in the 15-kilometer World Cup classic race at Beitostolen last weekend. That was not good enough to make next weekend’s World Cup team. See Norway’s team for Kuusamo.

Kristian Horntvedt was not happy with his World Cup races last weekend. It was still his best ever season opener. — It’s still not clicking, admits Horntvedt.

— I would have stayed with them if this was one month later, said Horntvedt.

He was on Sunday fearing that his results meant that he would not be selected to race next weekend’s World Cup races in Kuusamo.

– I needed to ski better on Saturday, said Horntvedt. He is despite that more satisfied with his relay performance than Saturday’s individual race.

— I was at least able to push my limits in the relay. I’m just not better than this as of today, said Horntvedt.
