Swedish National team skiers will test their new suits in this weekend's World Cup races in Davos and will use them in the Olympics if they are as good as the manufacturer is promising. The suit looks like a speedskating suit.
– Large amounts of money have been used to develop the suit. It’s especially good when you are leaning forward like cross country skiers do, says Swedish national team coach Inge Braten.
– The suit has to be considerably better than what we are currently using if we are going to use it at the Olympics, says Braten
How important is the suit?
Missing the wax is more important, but it can be the decisive factor if everything else is equal, says the coach.
Mathias Fredriksson and Emelie Ohrstig have both tested the new suits. They are both satisfied.
– The suit feels very good. We believe in them, says Ohrstig to Swedish newspaper Expressen
