Despite a grim outlook the week before, the City of Lakes sprint races went off as planned on Saturday thanks to a huge volunteer shoveling effort and some unexpected snow earlier in the week. A couple nights of colder temperatures allowed for some snow-making which helped as well.
Due to the uncertainty of the events before this week, many top skiers left town to attend other races such as the Boulder Mountain Tour. However there was still some very solid competition for the SuperTour freestyle sprints which were sponsored by Toko and local ski store Finn Sisu.

In the women's race, Natasha Naryshkina put up the fastest qualifying time. She went on to edge out Rossignol teammate and last year's SuperTour overall sprint winner Karin Camenisch, who took second ahead of Erin Hood (APUNSC). Muriele Huberli was the fourth skier in the A-Final, and Caitlin Compton won the B-Final.
