Fischer introduces the lightest racing ski in the world, the RCS Carbonlite. Available in both Skating and Classic models, the new Carbonlite weighs in under 1000 grams (187L/SK and 197L/ CL) and was developed with feedback with finest racers in the world. The ski was first utilized at the 2005 World Championships in Obersdorft Germany with great success — capturing a Gold medal in the 50k Classic.
Built with the same camber and shape as the existing RCS models, The Carbonlites will also feature race stamps and will come “Prewaxed†— a new process where the skis are waxed immediately following base grinding. The Prewaxed feature prevents base oxidation, reduces base prep time resulting in faster skis.
The RCS Carbonlites will be used by all Fischer athletes at the Olympic games in Torino, including Americans; Kris Freeman, Andy Newell and Carl Swenson. The new models will be available for demo at the American Birkebeiner On-Snow Demo February 23 / 24, and offered in limited quantities at Fischer dealers Fall of 2006.
Preview at the ski expo this Friday before the Boulder Mt Tour.
