Luke Bodensteiner, Nordic Program Director at the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, announced to the U.S. Cross Country Committee that the US Cross Country Ski Team has received a significant boost in funding.

The XC USST had $400,000 in funding for the current year. This amount was not enough to support a full team, thus the women's team was dropped. Now it has been announced that funding will increase to $625,000 with the possibility of another $375,000 on top of that. This money will allow the USST to focus on its “Elite Performance Model” to develop the nation's top skiers.
