The USSA Coaches Education Department is launching its new Coaches Resource Center at http://athletics.ussa.org . The new site has been designed to educate a variety of skiing and snowboarding participants: Coaches, Athletes, Parents, Clubs, and all USSA members and supporters. When the Resource Center is fully developed, it will contain a broad spectrum of educational resources, sport science information, relevant and timely sport-specific updates -including discussion forums, highlight videos, as well as a coaches database, current clinic information and registration as well as additional educational links.

The Resource Center will soon be the go-to site for all sport enthusiasts who desire to stay current, by expanding their base of knowledge and education. Additionally, the Resource Center will support coaches seeking better methods for developing aspiring athletes. The site will also become the forum for exchanging ideas, sharing successful drills, and viewing the latest educational videos. “We see the USSA Coaches Resource Center as being a great way to enhance our communication and interaction with our coaches, athletes, and members,” says David McCann, USSA Director of Educational Services. “The instructional videos, documents and the upcoming coaches forum will provide our members with more tools to improve the performance of USSA clubs and athletes.”

Developed by the USSA Coaches Education Department, in conjunction with its multimedia development partner Big Rig Creative, the site will be regularly updated and expanded to respond to the needs of USSA member coaches, administrators, athletes and parents.
