World Cup Keeping The Mass-Start

The International Ski Federation (FIS) considered dropping the mass-start in the longest events at championships. That won’t happen.

This topic was discussed during last weeks FIS conference in Portugal. The conclusion was that no changes will be made neither in the World Cup nor in the World Championship program. Last year’s program with mass-start in the longest events will continue.

Only the Scandinavian countries wanted this changed and no changes will occur this upcoming season, said Jan Palander of the FIS World Cup committee.
