TECHNIQUE AND TRAINING CAMP FOR MASTER/CITIZEN SKIERS

July 6-8

Cresthill Resort, Hayward, WI

CXC Skiing is pleased to announce a technique and training camp for master/citizen cross

country skiers. This camp will offer valuable information for all amateur athletes; first

through eleventh wave Birkie skiers and off season cross trainers.

Train shoulder to shoulder with CXC Ski Team athletes. Learn from the CXC Team coaches

and well known guest coaches.

CXC has purchased, and several Team coaches have been trained to operate the most highly

technical VO2 and CO2 analyzer available. VO2 test measures the amount of oxygen your

body uses at different exertion levels while you exercise on a bike or treadmill. This is done as

you breathe trough a mask during a short workout. The recorded information is then used to

determine your personal Intensity Zones. These zones will give you specific target heart

rates required for each level of intensity. It too is a valuable tool in developing specific

individual training plans. Training and exercising within your zones will get you results that

will amaze you!

Additionally, the equipment can analyze, chart, and print out a tremendous amount of data

relative to athletic efficiency and body functions during exercise.

During the camp you will:

– Work on classic and/or skate technique

– Complete comprehensive video analysis

– Learn how to maximize your training

– Measure VO2max, anaerobic & aerobic threshold*

– Determine your individual intensity zones

– Understand individual strengths and weaknesses

– Develop a personalized training plan based on above data

* VO2/CO2 testing can be done on the stationary bike trainer or running treadmill.
