Leif Zimmerman Fired Up For New Season
FasterSkier · July 12, 2006
Any new Leifisms in training?
I will follow a very similar training plan to year’s past. The area I will work on the most is base fitness. I need to be a lot more fit and a little stronger!
First impressions working with the USST; thoughts on the first camp:
I'm really excited about the group of athletes, coaches and sport science personal that we have rollin' down the same track!! I think you can do a lot of different things to get faster, but no matter what you do, you have to BELIEVE in what your doing! We are all starting to BELIEVE!
What are you most fired up for with the July camp?
Shooting guns!
And your favorite gun is?
Anything with a long barrel, smooth action and great personality.
Other tidbits on Leif: Dogs are Zeb, Darla and Monty Favorite ice cream; Anything white and frosty! Preferred barley pop? That would have be: Aventinus- a super smooth, yet somewhat heady Wheat-Doppelbock from Munchen,Germany.

, then had a beer tasting of some new beers that my Dad was thinking about selling .(He works for a beverage distributor and yes they now sell that beer)!
Saturday-Helped at a local Duathalon (running and road biking race) that the Bridger Ski Foundation put on, and that evening attended our regional Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet.
Sunday-went tele skiing all day! It was hot and the snow was perfect spring corn! “Like a hot knife thru warm butter” Oh, yeah it was that sweet!

Why is BSF the right place for you?
I really what to be around Bozeman and all the things I grew up with. It is a great place for me to not only train, but to train well. And that is my number one goal!

For those who don't know Dragon what makes him such a great coach?
He's a slave driver! He doesn't use a whip very often, but he yells a LOT! He is also not afraid to work on something from a different angle or just try something new.

<div class=)
