The entire Northug Family is receiving media training following Petter Northug's fantastic season last winter.
– We have been given instructions on how to handle this with Petter. We are prepared for any situation, says Petter’s dad John Northug to Norwegian newspaper VG.
Petter’s mother, May, explained to the newspaper that everything happened incredibly fast and that this is a whole new situation for the family.
Petter’s father view is still very down to earth:
– Our job is make sure that he turns into a good human being, he says.
Petter is looking at the huge media interest with a smile. He knows very well that the media loves to write about money, women, failure and success.
