Editor's Note: The following was sent to us by APU Nordic Ski Center. In addition to the great skiing at Hatcher Pass this past weekend, it is also worth noting that the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage has also started grooming some of the trails right in Anchorage. Many skiers, myself included, have been enjoying very good skiing at Kincaid Park the last couple of days. Sorry, no pictures from that – I was too busy skiing! (and it was dark)

Anchorage Daily News: Just enough snow to kick off Anchorage cross-country ski season

“Early Season Sunshine and Extra Blue!”

This past weekend Alaskan skiers enjoyed awesome early season conditions at Hatcher's Pass. Temperatures were in the high teens to low twenties, the sunshine was abundant and we were kicking on pure extra blue!

Thanks to Mark Strabel (of Swix) for the excellent grooming!
