Kris Freeman finished 10th in a World Cup 15K skate race in Changchun, China on Friday. Freeman was one minute and ten seconds behind winner Tobias Angerer of Germany. Frenchmen Vincent Vittoz and Emmanuel Jonnier were second and third. It was a small field for a World Cup race, but Freeman was surrounded by big names, both just ahead and behind him, on the results.
Freeman was the lone North American in today's races.
In the women's race, Katernia Neumanova (CZE) was the winner, crushing the field by over a minute. Karine Philippot (FRA) was second and Svetlana Malahova-Shishkina third.
