Marit Bjœrgen has decided to go back to the recipe that made her skiqueen at the 2005 Oberstdorf Worlds and helped her win two consecutive World Cup titles. She will again use Svein Tore Samdal as her coach.

– Yes I will utilize Svein Tore this upcoming season, and Egil Kristiansen (current women’s coach) is fully aware of that. I believe it’s important to use people who have meant a lot to me in the past, said Bjorgun to Norwegian television TV 2 Sport news on Monday.
Bjorgen was loyal and followed Egil Kristiansen principles this season. Things will be very different next season with Samdal's hard block-training principles.
– I’m sure about that. I’m very motivated and want to race fast, said Bjorgen to TV 2.
