Bjorn Daehlie agrees to become Northug’s adviser

— We deciced that we could need an adviser independant of the ski federation, and I sent an email request to Bjœrn. He answered right away that he felt that it would be an interesting challenge, and asked for a meeting. We had the meeting last Monday night and that went very well, says John Northug.

John Northug says that they learned a few things from Dæhlie already in the short meeting last week.

— Bjœrn Dæhlie has a unique status based upon his results and personality that very few if any have reached. He is a person you listen to, and he has the experience that we feel that we need in the situation Petter is in now, says John Northug to the local newspaper Tronderavisa.

The goal is for Petter Northug to be able to focus on the competitions and the training while people around him take care of other things.
