The accusations following Inge Bråtens resignation as Swedish headcoach continues. Bråten is now according to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet demanding retribution (from the Swedish federation) since the federation has not kept their part of the deal.
Bråten demands retribution
FasterSkier · May 31, 2007
The background for BrÃ¥ten’s reaction is that Swedish Nordic chief, Per-Ã…ke YttergÃ¥rd, claimed on Swedish television that BrÃ¥ten weakened the Swedes financial stability. Per-Ã…ke YttergÃ¥rd claimed that BrÃ¥tens waste had reduced the federation’s economy considerably, and that this is the reason for a much reduced budget for the Swedes ahead of next season.
– This is wrong and pure lies. I’m very disappointed by him saying this, says BrÃ¥ten.
Bråten claims that he was a very cheap head coach for the Swedes.
– I had many expenses that I didn’t demand compensation for. I have paid for doctor visits home in Norway, made my own cars available to the skiers among others, says BrÃ¥ten to Aftonbladet.
The trouble in Sweden doesn’t seem to end…
