Last year's PPP champion, Marshall Greene, may face tough competition from his cross-country skiing pals

Zach Violett and Brayton Osgood did not realize that their friend Marshall Greene was somewhat of a local celebrity. The three elite cross-country skiers competed in a 10-kilometer run earlier this month, and many of the spectators were rooting for Greene.
“I wondered why everybody was cheering for Marshall,” Violett says. “And Marshall said, 'You haven't won the PPP; that's what it comes down to.' ”
