Södergren and Saarinen won rollerski sprint in Norway

— It was great training for me to participate in this race. I need to develop my sprintskills, so this was beneficial. I’m not exactly used to winning sprints. I knew that I had a chance if I was able to lead up the last hill. Getting the gap was a pure bonus, said Anders Södergren.
The women’s winner, Aino-Kaisa Saarinen also greatly enjoyed Fauske.

— I had a great time. The course was good and the spectators were fantastic. I know that Norwegians love skiing so it was very enjoyable to be a part of this. It was of course especially fun to win. That’s a feeling you never really get used to, said Saarinen.

But the race wasn’t the only reason why she had a good time at Fauske.

– The Norwegian brown cheese is incredible. I always buy a couple kilo to take home when I’m in Norway, laughs Saarinen.
